Harutzim, what is the source of the name, and what does it mean?
Kfar Harutzim is a locality associated with the Hof Hasharon Regional Council.
About 71 years ago, after arriving in Israel by illegal immigrant ships, the first settlers immigrated and clung to the lands near the coast in the Sharon region.
Roads Nos. 2 and 4 have not yet been paved, spacious houses have not yet been built, and the roof, whose function is to protect from wind, rain, and the often scorching sun, has not fulfilled its purpose. In the dark and cold, they awoke from their sleep during storms of rain and wind and worked at strengthening the pegs and anchors of their tents under which they were sheltered.
The pioneers created an atmosphere of "togetherness" to establish a settlement. They were intent on strengthening the young state and fulfilling the prophets' vision. Moreover, they were devoted to building the agriculture of the area.
The name of the settlement was changed and is taken from the words of the wisdom of King Solomon, as it is said in the Book of Proverbs:
וְיַד חָרוּצִים תַּעֲשִׁיר(משלי פרק י פסוק ד)
and the hand of those who make true decisions will make [them] rich.
יד חָרוּצִים תִּמְשׁוֹל(משלי פרק יב פסוק כד)
The hand of the diligent will rule
Indeed, dynamic, agile, happy, and full of satisfaction are the lives of the locality residents. What has changed is that today, its residents live in houses that protect from rain and heat and are surrounded by a transport route; although busy, it is modern and passable.
